B has been gone for 2 weeks and I am missing him so much. He is such an amazing husband and dad, it's pretty evident when he's gone why we miss and need him so much. I need him to:
1. Remind me to go to sleep. I am a natural born night-owl to the max. I HATE going to sleep at night and there are always 100 things I'd rather be doing. I haven't been in bed before 1:30 since he's been gone.
2. To kill spiders. There is a general rule around our house that I DO NOT under any circumstances kill bugs. I have had to make a few exceptions to this rule since my bug man is gone. I killed 2 spiders last night - he'd be so proud!
3. To have someone to cook and bake for. Josie loves little kiddo food and I have just been eating whatever she's having to avoid the effort of making a second meal. I love cooking for Benj because he is so appreciative and always raves about everything I make. He is my #1 fan.
4. To watch my favorite show with me. B always pretends that What Not To Wear is his favorite show too and says "Hey! My favorite show is on!!" I love this trick because he always lets me watch it - even when Survivor Man is on.
5. To play with his baby girl. She gets so excited for dad to come home every night - she waits by the window and watches and screams when she sees him pull up in the car. Since he's been gone she talks about him all day. Yesterday I gave her high five for counting to two and she went to the door and held up her hand and said "Daddy give five?"
There are about 900 other reasons why we miss him and need him here. B is the best and it's so hard to be apart even though I know what he's doing is important and I'm so proud of him for what he does every day. We can't wait to kiss and hug him in 2 days!!!

Oh, I love "What not to wear" too! When you move to base we should get together to watch the show :)
Dude...Number one-night owl=Liljenquist. It's a disease. Totally reminds me of Dad, John, Laurie...pretty much everyone. Stay up all night and then want to sleep in so bad. And the spider thing I understand. It's because we had a bug man all growing up. Poor dad would come home from work and find cups turned over on bugs just waiting for him to exterminate. Love him for that. In the year and a half I've lived here, I've never seen a spider (knock on wood) cuz there is no bug man here.
Man, I think I miss Ben too...
He is wonderful - you're absolutely right, and you three and just a delight of a family. I don't kill spiders or insects either, but I've trained my three older kids to grab them with tp and flush them. Just give Josie another year and you won't even need a bug man.
I miss your cooking and baking too :( There was always a great treat at Yale Manor!!!
totally true, we need those boys for a reason! They are wonderful. and you totally are a night owl, and always have been, me on the other hand i cant remember the last time i stayed up until 1:30 unless i was working!
I don't sleep either when Dave is gone, not good. Glad Ben is back, you two should always be together.
