Save the date....

Josie and Drew (Courty's babe) finally met, and we figured we'd better catch the moment on film so that they can put these pics on their wedding video someday. Sparks flew, emotions ran high.....she pulled him in with her tractor beams. Here are some action shots of Drew making his first move:

New Jersey or bust!

New Jersey here we come! After A LOT of stress, contemplation, prayers, stress, prayers, and stress, we have decided we're headed to the Garden State! We're really excited and can't wait to begin this new adventure....So, pack buy your tickets and pack your bags, here are some exciting things to do when you come visit:
1. Visit the Liberty Bell in Philly (a 30 minute drive or train ride)
2. Hit the Big Apple (a 58 minute train ride)
3. Go to the beach! The jersey shore is an hour's drive
4. Atlantic City (an hour on the train)
5. Visit D.C. with me (I've never been, but it's only a 2 hour train ride)
We'll see you there!!!

Mojave desert or New Jersey? What the...?

The Air Force finally called, and our choices are....
1. Edwards AFB in the Mojave desert of California
2. McGuire AFB in Trenton, New Jersey
I feel like they are both great choices, and that we'll probably be happy at either one, but it's the hardest decision ever because they are so completely opposite! We have to decide by Monday....So, if you know anything, please weigh in.

My baby's daddy

Today is Father's Day numero uno for my numero uno - - Ben!! He is the sweetest daddy, not to mention the most handsome! Josie is so lucky to have such an amazing dad who would do anything for her. Josie loves him so much and watching them together melts my heart. Here are some recent photos of them taken by the amazing Miss Paige.

Ready, set, go!!!

Josie is freaking me out by making suspiciously crawl-like movements lately. I think she'll be crawling within the week, and I can't believe it - she just seems too little!!! Here are some action shots:

A new strategy

I've recently realized how difficult it is to stay athletic once you become a mother. It takes a huge effort to make time for anything like that.
Example #1: I recently finished my second half-marathon. Things were really crazy and I didn't have time to train the traditional way (by actually running BEFORE the race), so I came up with a new strategy for finishing the race. First, I bought new earrings with Josie's birthstone for good luck. Second, I bought a new running outfit to make me really feel like a runner. Third, I made sure my favorite running partner (my sister Amy) could be there to help me finish. I don't recommend it - I injured my hip and had HUGE blisters, but I learned my lesson!!!

Example #2: Tonight my dad needed an extra player on his company softball team - and he talked me into playing. I was so nervous and was pretty much the biggest nerd in softball history!! The whole team was laughing when I walked up to bat with my mit on one hand, and the bat in the other. I hit the ball twice (you would have been so proud Court!), which was a sort of miracle, but couldn't seem to catch ANYTHING! I started to feel like a little leaguer - - standing in the outfield all distracted and daydreaming.

I don't know what it is, I think going through the body-morph of pregnancy, but I feel like an awkward teenager again!! It's going to take a lot of work to become any sort of an athlete ever again...!

Back2blogging!

We've been in a serious blogging drought - it's tough when you're on the road! We closed on our house and are now officially homeless drifters. It's been a while, I'm not sure where to start! Here are some pics from our trip to Huntington Beach last week. More to come..

Sleeping beauty - all tuckered out after a day at the pool.

With cute cousin Chloe. She had SO much fun playing with her cousins.

Her new favorite toy!

A wild partay!

Two seriously NOT tan South Dakotans.
