Santa's new ride

We have been reading a lot of Christmas books lately, and Josie knows that Santa rides a sleigh - but now I'm afraid she is a little confused after we visited Santa on the Air Force Base and he arrived in an Apache helicopter!

I am so mad - I had so many cute pics of Josie watching the helicopter land, and Santa come out...But something happened to my memory card and it got completely erased. While we were standing there waiting for Santa, I kept looking around thinking how cute all these military families were. I still feel like we're so new to the military and I always have to remind myself that we're one of those too! I really love being an Air Force family and I am so proud of Benj and his hard work and sacrifices. He is amazing. I have met so many wonderful Air Force members who are there because they truly want to serve our country - what could be better than that? It makes me feel so good to be an American!

Gingerbread Girl

J and I had so much fun making her little gingie-bread house (or "cookie house" as she calls it). A lot of the candy mysteriously went missing before it ever appeared on the little cottage...I felt bad, I forgot to warn her that spice drops are absolutely disgusting so she had to find out for herself and promptly spit them out on the table.

Totally TG

We were so THANKFUL to be invited to the Bohn Thanksgiving Extravaganza '08! Brandon and Jamie are awesome- they are such a cute family and Josie was in heaven at their house. Mo and Geoff drove up from D.C. for the festivities - we had wonderful food and these friends are the best. Thanks again you guys!
I really slacked at capturing the whole event, the hosts, and the attendees, but here is the cutest little turkey:

Funny thing is Josie wore this dress to Thanksgiving last year - there are benefits to being a shrimp!

I found my true calling in life - just maybe a little too late. I am unhealthily addicted to rock band drums. Do you think any bands are looking for a dorky 28-year-old mom to play drums (side note: she can't play real drums, just rb ones)? I had to be pried away from them by my screaming-way past her bedtime-little one. Check out Mo's face - the best.
